Job Summary
Great opportunity for an Accounting or Bookkeeping candidate to get in on the ground floor of a newly created position designed to assist and support the Accounting Manager. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. As this is a new role, you will learn to manage a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about accounting and eager to learn the full cycle of accounting operations as it applies to our company. Duties
- Prepare accounting records in QuickBooks by compiling, entering and analyzing account information.
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable (expense reports, cash receipts...)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and assist with Balance Sheet account analysis
- Assist in Credit and RMA creation and analysis
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with payroll processing as needed
- Assist with monthend and yearend closing activities to meet deadlines
- Assist in various special projects
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Strong skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis
- Ability to perform detailed data entry tasks with high accuracy (10 key typing skills).
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to keep company matters strictly confidential.
- Advantageous if you have experience working software platforms including QuickBooks, Acctivate, and tableau equivalent is advantageous.
- Excellent math skills combined with strong analytical abilities for credit analysis, account analysis. - Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30PM - in office
- Salary commesurate with experience
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
