Position: Accountant IV (Senior Accountant Contractor Global Accounting Operations)
Duration: 5-Months (Contract to Perm)
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tues & Weds)
Role Summary:
Join Our Client s Global Accounting Operations team and help deliver reliable, timely, and accurate financial data in a dynamic setting. You ll own key general accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, disbursement-related accounting support, and monthly reconciliations while partnering closely with AP, Treasury, and Finance. This position also plays a critical role in compliance with GAAP, Federal/State regulations, and SOX requirements, ensuring smooth close cycles and strong audit support. Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, and support compliance with general accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries (reclassifications, accruals, allocations, etc.)
- Manage month-end close external journal entry submission process
- Ensure financial data is recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulations/policies
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations with in-depth analysis
- Prepare and present monthly financial results and report variances to Accounting/Finance management
- Support quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Act as liaison with internal teams and external parties for subsidiary/assigned areas
- Ensure adherence to SOX requirements and escalate issues as appropriate
- Analyze departmental processes and recommend improvements
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience operating within fast-paced accounting environments, including close and reporting cycles
- A track record of producing detailed documentation and communicating financial results clearly
- Strong stakeholder management skills across AP, Treasury, and Finance
- Comfort working under pressure while managing multiple priorities
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (staff to senior-level)
- Experience in a fast-paced accounting department of a large public corporation
- Strong documentation and communication skills for financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)
