About the Role

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic, and versatile instructors to lead two of our premier summer programs for elementary students: Summerpreneur (Entrepreneurship) and CineCraft (Filmmaking & Acting).
Ideally, we are looking for a unique individual who can step into both worlds—inspiring the next generation of CEOs, innovators, and filmmakers while having a meaningful, fun summer teaching experience!
About Our Summerpreneur Camp
- Instructors guide students through the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, helping them turn ideas into mini-ventures.
- Teach planning, marketing, budgeting, and problem-solving through interactive games and real-world challenges.
- Help campers build confidence, leadership, and critical thinking skills as they launch their own mini-businesses.
About Our CineCraft Kids Camp
- Instructors inspire young storytellers through acting, imagination, and movie-making.
- Guide students as they explore storytelling, develop characters, create simple props/costumes, and collaborate to produce a short class movie.
- Introduce basic filmmaking concepts, including camera awareness, simple filming techniques, and scene planning.
Qualifications and Skills
- The Personality: A fun, high-energy, and engaging individual who can motivate and build trust with elementary-aged students.
- The Background: Experience in teaching, theater/filmmaking, and/or running a business/understanding business fundamentals.
- The Mindset: A passion for encouraging creativity, innovation, and teamwork while maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- The Soft Skills: Patience, empathy, adaptability, and top-notch communication skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of college education.
- At least 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged children.
- Ability to confidently manage a classroom of up to 20 students.
- Must be able to pass background checks and a TB test.
- Reliable transportation to commute to San Carlos locations.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 20–50 lbs. occasionally.
Compensation & Availability
- Rate: $25 to $30 per hour. Compensation is comprehensive and includes lesson planning, prep time, parent communication, instruction, and dismissal duties.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday availability required for the week of 7/27 – 7/31. The ideal candidate will teach both camps back-to-back:
- Summerpreneur (AM Session): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- CineCraft (PM Session): 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
