Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Lead Generation Specialist to own the day-to-day management of our outbound prospecting activity across platforms such as Apollo, LinkedIn, email, and internal tracking systems.
This role offers strong future growth potential for the right individual. Over time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take greater ownership of prospect development, relationship-building, and commercially valuable lead progression. This could include identifying high-potential prospects independently, shaping outreach approaches, nurturing selected leads into qualified opportunities, and playing a more active role in building a pipeline of prospective clients for the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and organizing prospect lists, executing personalized outreach, tracking engagement and lead progress, maintaining accurate records, and managing communications with prospective leads through the early stages of the relationship.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands the digital business landscape, can communicate professionally and confidently, and is comfortable making sound day-to-day decisions with minimal supervision. The role will involve acting as the first point of contact, managing conversations through to the point where meetings are handed over to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of outbound outreach activity using Apollo or similar prospecting platforms
- Build, segment, and maintain prospect databases aligned to target sectors, business types, and decision-maker profiles
- Research and identify relevant leads and contacts using digital tools, LinkedIn, company websites, and data platforms
- Create and send tailored outreach messages via email and LinkedIn based on target audience, sector, and context
- Track all lead communications, responses, progress, and next steps accurately within spreadsheets, CRM systems, and outreach tools
- Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date lead records and campaign tracking documentation
- Monitor outreach performance and response activity, highlighting patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Follow up leads consistently and professionally, ensuring timely responses and clear communication
- Manage early-stage lead interactions and nurture conversations until handover to senior stakeholders for meetings or commercial discussions
- Coordinate internal scheduling and information flow to support smooth handoff from initial outreach to stakeholder meeting
- Support the ongoing refinement of outreach messaging, targeting logic, and lead qualification criteria
- Work independently to prioritize daily activity and make sensible decisions in the best interests of the business
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in B2B lead generation, outbound marketing, business development support, sales support, or a similar role
- Experience using Apollo or similar lead generation / outreach platforms
- Experience managing prospect lists, outreach workflows, contact records, and campaign tracking
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and reporting processes
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional, and personalised outreach messages
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Confidence managing multiple conversations, follow-ups, and moving parts at once
- Good commercial awareness and sound judgement in handling external communications
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and email as business development and networking tools
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and lead tracking processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
- Professional, confident, and credible communication style
Personal Attributes
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset
- Digitally savvy and comfortable operating in online business and networking environments
- Confident communicator with good judgement
- Highly organized and process-driven
- Resourceful, reliable, and commercially aware
- Able to balance consistency, personalization, and professionalism
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both process ownership and relationship-building, and who wants to grow from a structured outreach and lead generation position into a more commercially influential role over time.
