About the Cashier Role
As a Cashier, you'll help customers complete purchases accurately and efficiently while providing friendly service. You'll handle transactions, answer basic questions, support the sales floor, and help create a clean and welcoming customer environment.
Checkout & Customer Service
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Process cash, credit, debit, and digital payment transactions accurately.
- Scan products, verify prices, and provide receipts.
- Answer basic questions about products, pricing, promotions, and store policies.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company procedures.
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude throughout each customer interaction.
Sales Floor & Store Support
- Assist customers in locating products when needed.
- Maintain an organized and customer-ready checkout area.
- Support product displays, promotions, and seasonal activities.
- Help keep the sales floor clean and organized.
- Work with team members to support daily store operations.
Accuracy & Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate cash-handling procedures.
- Balance transactions and report discrepancies when necessary.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention standards.
- Maintain attention to detail during busy periods.
- Support additional store responsibilities as assigned.
