World’s Best Cheeses has been delivering exceptional products for over 40 years. We supply more than 4,000 specialty items to 3,000+ retailers nationwide. From our Armonk headquarters, our fleet of 33 trucks serves routes from Maine to Virginia, and we also operate in California.
We are seeking a Dispatch & Transportation Associate to help manage and support our daily delivery operations. This role ensures our drivers, trucks, and routes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely helping us continue our legacy of reliability and outstanding service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing 30 Drivers
- Dispatch daily delivery routes, ensuring all drivers and our internal team receive accurate schedules, load details, and route information, as well as advising our customers on delivery options
- Monitor fleet activity throughout the day, providing support to customers and sales staff, problem‑solving, and providing updates to drivers as needed
- Coordinate truck maintenance, scheduling repairs, inspections, and preventative service for a 33‑vehicle fleet
- Utilize ERP and GPS data to optimize processes and improve delivery accuracy
- Track and document fleet performance, including mileage, service logs, and compliance records
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure on‑time, efficient deliveries
- Assist with driver communication, time‑tracking, and route adjustments
- Help maintain a safe, compliant, and organized transportation operation
- Manage Routing
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, dispatch, customer service, or fleet management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Computer savvy with ERP and order management systems knowledge
- High level organizational and multitasking abilities
- A customer centric positive attitude
- DOT regulation familiarity a plus (helpful but not required—training available)
- College Degree Required
- Knowledge of Samsara a plus
Position Highlights & Benefits:
Pay: $90,000 Annual
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Thursday 8AM – 5:30PM, Friday 8AM - 4PM. Accept and manage any Saturday emergency calls from drivers, if needed.
