Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Brake Form Operator with a strong background in flat pattern press brake operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Aerospace and Defense industry, be comfortable interpreting technical drawings, and have the ability to independently set up equipment for forming operations.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake equipment for forming operations
- Calculate bend deductions accurately
- Perform flat pattern press brake work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Verify completed parts meet required dimensions and quality standards
- Follow Aerospace and Defense manufacturing and quality requirements
- Potentially perform SmartCAM programming
- Potentially operate a Strippit punch press
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
Qualifications
- Previous press brake/forming experience required
- Must have experience with flat pattern press brake operations
- Must be able to calculate bend deductions
- Must be able to independently set up a press brake
- Aerospace and Defense manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
- SmartCAM programming experience is a plus
- Strippit punch press experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Pay
$22.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
