Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, including product demos when applicable
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions and handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with professionalism
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-merchandised to attract customers
- Conduct upselling by recommending complementary products and informing customers about promotions or new arrivals
- Manage inventory levels by receiving shipments, stocking products, and maintaining accurate stock records
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on store products, including cannabis accessories, vaporizers, pipes, rolling papers, and other related items
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or store communications
Requirements
- Prior retail sales experience preferred; grocery store experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations essential for processing transactions efficiently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting are advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge related to smoking accessories and related merchandise preferred
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays
