General Description
Entry level Project Engineer I will develop, manage, and/or execute all phases of the construction planning/scheduling/cost effort for one or more large, complex and demanding projects. The Project Engineer will provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex construction project control problems. Individual will interface with clients, attend meetings and provide statistical reports as required.
Key Duties
· Assist with onsite field measurements and installations.
· Interacts w/subcontractors as required.
· Assist with maintenance of the project schedule including materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
· Places orders for materials and ensures delivery.
· Creates and sends all transmittal letters and keeps log of dates sent, returned and approved.
· Schedules and arranges for equipment moves on and off the job.
· Prepares change orders and claims for review by Project Manager.
· Participates at the final acceptance of the project (with the Project Manager).
· Responsible for maintenance of safe working environment.
· Must be organized, attentive to detail, and able to multitask/manage competing deadlines.
· Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings and conduct site visits/inspections.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

- Education and Experience. A Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required. Previous experience in residential and commercial construction is preferred. Familiarity with construction industry practices is preferred. Must be able to understand communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
- Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Project Engineer to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, grease and noise.
- Work can be performed at heights up to 40 feet, requiring the employee to climb ladders, scaffolds and stair towers, often with narrow steps and passageways.
- Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground and slopes in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, based on project need(s) and demand(s).
Pay: From $64,000.00 per year
