Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roll Form Department Supervisor to oversee the assembly and production of roll form machines within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in machine assembly, and a commitment to quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of assemblers to ensure smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.
- Coordinate and oversee the assembly process of roll form machines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout the assembly process to guarantee product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Train new team members on machine assembly techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for existing staff.
- Plan and prioritize assembly tasks to meet production targets and deadlines. Monitor workflow efficiency and make adjustments as necessary to optimize productivity.
- Manage inventory levels of assembly components and ensure availability of materials needed for production. Coordinate with procurement team as required.
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among team members. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in machine assembly or similar technical fields.
- Strong technical knowledge of roll form machines and their components.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of technicians and operators.
- Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
- Frequently required to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- The position operates in a manufacturing or warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- May involve exposure to dust, dirt, and noise from machinery.
