We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. As a Senior HVAC Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems while representing our company with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure peak system performance and energy efficiency.
- Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality products.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect equipment, identify repair or replacement needs, and clearly explain recommendations to customers.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, manufacturer guidelines, and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and job documentation using company software.
- Safely handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and inventory of tools and materials.
- Mentor and assist junior technicians when needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC service experience (residential and/or light commercial preferred).
- Strong knowledge of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience servicing gas furnaces, heat pumps, package units, and split systems.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive team attitude.
