We're seeking a Flooring Installer Helper to join our team in Appleton, WI. In this hands-on role you'll help install a range of flooring materials in commercial settings. It's a great fit for someone with attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
What you'll do:
- Operate a floor sander and various power and hand tools
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit each space
- Prep subfloors — removing existing flooring, leveling, and cleaning
- Repair or replace damaged flooring as needed
- Apply stains, sealers, finishes, and grouts
- Handle material hauling, sweeping, and site cleanup
- Work with the crew to keep projects on schedule
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on flooring or related trades experience
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on the job
