Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, fresh jucies, following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems such as Clover to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling surfaces, equipment, and seating areas in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring proper food handling and hygiene practices are followed
- Support team members during busy periods by serving drinks quickly and managing retail sales transactions smoothly
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service environment with café experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover for efficient sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Capable of maintaining cleanliness standards through regular cleaning routines and food safety compliance
