Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook food items with precision, maintaining consistency and quality throughout service
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knife skills and equipment upkeep
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing meals and ensuring timely service
- Serve food efficiently while providing excellent customer service and attention to detail
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Hands-on kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards is essential
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling practices is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food industry standards will set you apart
- Experience in catering or large-scale food service operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of quality
