Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Medical Director(s) and Medical Director Designee(s) for our new start up agency (hospice/palliative care).
Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, FDA regulations, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations, and other applicable laws
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with post-residency experience in a relevant specialty
- Proven leadership experience in hospital or healthcare management roles with supervisory responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical development processes
- Demonstrated expertise in EMR/EHR systems (HospiceMD) management along with proficiency in medical records review and documentation practices
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, FDA regulations, DEA regulations, and managed care policies
- Effective communication skills
