Job Summary
The Civil Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all civil construction activities on-site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing subcontractors, labor crews, equipment, materials, and site operations while maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily civil construction activities, including earthworks, concrete, utilities, roads, structural, and site development works.
- Coordinate project schedules and ensure work progresses according to established timelines.
- Monitor workforce productivity and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and work plans.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, delays, and conflicts.
- Monitor material deliveries, equipment utilization, and inventory levels.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to project management.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and resource planning.
- Support project closeout activities, including inspections and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in civil construction, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Working Conditions

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
