FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production processes. This hands-on role will be responsible for leading operations staff, implementing lean manufacturing practices, improving efficiency, supporting workplace safety, and driving operational excellence across the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing leadership experience, hands-on inventory and logistics experience, forklift certification, and advanced Excel skills.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading, managing, and developing operations staff across production, inventory, and logistics functions
- Overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations
- Managing and continuously improving shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
- Ensuring efficient use of resources and reducing waste
- Implementing lean manufacturing methodologies
- Developing and tracking KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Ensuring inventory alignment with production needs
- Using advanced Excel skills to analyze data, forecast demand, and generate reports
- Ensuring workplace safety compliance
- Enforcing operational protocols and safety procedures
- Operating forklifts as needed
- Ensuring team compliance with forklift certification requirements
- Collaborating with cross-functional departments, including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Supporting production processes and operational improvements
- Driving operational excellence across the facility
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field required
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in operations within a manufacturing environment required
- Personal care industry experience highly desired
- Experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control required
- Forklift certification required
- Experience operating forklifts safely required
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis, and reporting
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, production, inventory, and logistics teams
- Ability to work onsite in Anaheim, CA
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory areas during the workday
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing reports, inventory data, KPIs, schedules, and operational documentation
- Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, inventory review, equipment operation, reporting, and standard operations tasks
- Ability to operate forklifts safely as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials, supplies, inventory, or equipment as needed
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment while following safety, quality, GMP, and operational procedures
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed
Salary Range: Up to $140,000/year
