The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on our Buna, TX project site. Reporting to the General Super, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all civil construction works, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is as comfortable in the field as they are in the site office — someone who earns the respect of their crew through expertise, decisiveness, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities across the project site
- Manage subcontractors, trade crews, and equipment to meet project milestones
- Enforce rigorous safety standards and lead site safety meetings
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate field execution
- Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance; report to Project Manager
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively, escalating where necessary
- Maintain accurate daily reports, records, and site documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, owners' representatives, and inspectors
- Manage materials procurement and equipment utilization on site
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of civil construction experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Proven experience on heavy civil, rail, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, concrete, drainage, and underground utilities
- OSHA 30-hour certification (required); safety-first mindset
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Valid driver's license; willingness to work on-site in Buna, TX
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
