Corrections - LVN

Orientations are on the Weekend once traveler is cleared by credentialing and cleared by TDCJ (State)
Orientation Dates:
August 29th & 30th - Beaumont Office - Beaumont TX
Completed Profiles and CLP Due on: Aug 11th
(deadline to submit is 7/28)
- $200 Travel Reimbursement (MAX)
- No time off will be accepted
Orientation is held in Conroe or Beaumont, but they will work at whichever facility they accepted the offer.
MUST be able to work through the holidays, no time off allowed
Length: 13 weeks but will be continuous employment. (aka extensions)
Shift: Days or Nights
Hours per week: 36/48-hour rotation
- IMPORTANT: Monthly schedules are subject to change and rotations are NOT guaranteed. Scheduling is NOT done at the unit level.
OT: Eligibility to work OT Is available contingent on performance
Based on:
- Call-ins
- Punctuality
- Unexcused absences
- Cannot have 5 or more consecutive shifts (this will not be approved.)
- Cap at 60 hours total or 20 hours OT.
Float Requirements: Will be asked to float as needed. They will float to different units that are within 10 - 30 minutes of each other. They would be compensated through the facility for a drive time of up to 30 minutes with a punch correction.
- Nurses could be floated or diverted within 50 miles of the unit they are assigned to work with
- Rarely could be transferred mid-shift but could be
- Miles to/from home is not considered
- Refusal to float or divert they are DNR
- Google Maps is their friend! Satellite view
- Their home base (where they live) is not considered
Scheduling:
- 4 weeks block booking by the 20th
- Work week is Saturday – Friday, this is how OT is calculated
Certs: BLS, IV Therapy Cert
License: Compact or Texas LVN
Experience:
- Must have 2 years of recent experience
- Must have at least 1 Year of Acute Care or Med Surg experience
- LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing and/or Psych is a plus to succeed in this environment
Nursing Requirements Direct from Client:
- Thick skinned
- Independent
- Does not participate in internal issues and gossip
- Successful in a Fast-paced environment

Pay: $1,612.00 - $2,008.00 per week
