This position is part of a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 500 - Provost & Enrollment Division. That means the terms and conditions of your employment are governed by university policy (including the Staff Personnel Policies Manual) and any collective bargaining agreement entered into between American University and SEIU Local 500 - Provost & Enrollment Division.
Summary:
The Transfer Articulation Coordinator is responsible for analyzing and managing the transfer articulation process and facilitating the evaluation workflow of all transfer credits for prospective, incoming, and current students.
This position is a member of the Catalog and Curriculum team.
Essential Functions:
Support the Assistant Registrar for Transfer Articulation in evaluating and articulating transfer credits in accordance with AU policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Collaborate with admissions, faculty, and advisors to apply transfer credit policies.
Assist in managing, validating, and optimizing the automated transcript processing system (EdVisorly) and data flows to student information system (Workday).
Provide training to faculty and staff on transfer credit processes and related technologies (EdVisorly, Workday, Salesforce); maintains user documentation.
Provide support to students and educational stakeholders via email (ServiceNow).
Coordinate with Academic Advising and OUR partners to identify opportunities for transfer credit evaluations to ensure transfer students have accurate, up-to-date degree audits/progress plans.
Other duties as required by the Assistant Registrar, Associate Registrar or University Registrar.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2 - 4 years of relevant experience.
Proven record of successful experience in student-oriented service environment.
Proven record in working successfully with diverse populations.
Proven accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills in dealing with a large volume of records.
Proven ability to problem solve and to apply policy and regulation consistently as directed.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in academic advising, enrollment management, or transfer articulation.
Experience with process improvements for student success.
