American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV Neonatal ICU night shift position requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience and current NRP certification.

Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit of a hospital setting
-
Level IV NICU experience required to be considered
-
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

36 hours per week

13-week assignment length

Active RN license (Oklahoma state or multistate compact) required

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing required from an accredited program; BSN preferred

Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques

Good verbal and written communication skills
-
Basic computer skills required
-
Provide nursing care to a variety of NICU patients ranging from simple to complex health needs
-
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions
-
Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary
-
Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
-
Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
-
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines, requiring documentation to be completed promptly with no flexibility on start dates
-
Travelers may extend a contract one time for a maximum of 26 total weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
