We are looking for someone to join our transportation department in order to help transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. The driver responsibilities include keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any maintenance needs of the vehicle and planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients are transported in a safe and reliable manner. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide staff with our own vehicles. This position will be Monday through Friday and this position is guaranteed to receive at least 30 hours per week even if our transportation need is low. The hours may vary depending on the transportation needs of our clients but the typical work day would be from 7am-2pm.
Responsibilities
- Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
- Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
- Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and comfortable for all passengers
- Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues to the transportation supervisor
Skills
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- Availability to occasionally work evening shifts if another driver is off/out
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
