ENT practice with 2 locations, Plantation & Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced and dependable PER DIEM CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN to assist with in-office based surgery. Must be reliable, highly organized, and comfortable working in an office-based surgical environment. Have strong surgical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in an operating room, ambulatory surgery center, or office-based surgical environment.
Duties
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, organized, and ready for use.
- Set up and maintain a sterile field.
- Assist surgeons during a wide range of ENT procedures.
- Anticipate and provide instruments and supplies as needed.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
- Perform surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation.
- Clean, disinfected, and properly maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist with turnover and preparation of surgical room between cases.
- Any and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Previous surgical technician experience
CST certification
BLS certification
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instruments and equipment
Ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedure
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be dependable and available to work scheduled surgical days
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
