Medical Assistant / Receptionist
Bautista Medical Group is seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. This individual will play an important role in supporting both our clinical providers and front office operations by delivering excellent customer service, assisting with administrative tasks, and helping ensure a positive experience for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Check patients in and out for appointments
- Assist providers with routine medical assistant duties as needed
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Record vital signs and document patient information when appropriate
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers.
- Perform typing, scanning, filing, and other administrative duties
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
- Communicate professionally in English and Spanish, when applicable
- Assist with additional duties assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant healthcare experience preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Starting at $21 per hour
