At TLR Hydraulics in Midlothian, TX, our Welders and Fabricators support a busy hydraulic repair and fabrication shop serving construction, industrial, agricultural, and manufacturing customers across the DFW area and beyond. You will read blueprints, measure and cut metal, perform multi-process welding, assemble fabricated structures, and keep the shop running safely and efficiently. Every part and structure you build supports equipment that customers depend on to stay in service.

Fabrication and Welding
-
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to set up and execute each fabrication job correctly.

Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal materials for fabrication projects using saws, plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, and related equipment.

Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core processes as required by the job specification.

Assemble fabricated components and structures according to engineering specifications and dimensional requirements.

Repair and modify existing metal parts and structures as needed.
Quality and Safety

Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with applicable standards before releasing work.

Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times in the shop environment.

Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working condition; report maintenance needs promptly.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
Team Collaboration

Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule.

Communicate clearly on job status, material needs, and any issues that could affect delivery or quality.
Must Have:
-
Previous experience in welding and metal fabrication in a manufacturing, shop, or construction environment.

Proficiency in MIG welding; ability to perform TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding as required.

Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments accurately.

Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 to 75 pounds; comfortable working in physically demanding shop and manufacturing environments.

Manual dexterity and solid hand-eye coordination for precision fabrication work.

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Nice to Have:

AWS welding certification or equivalent.

Experience fabricating components for hydraulic cylinder repair or heavy industrial equipment.

Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake operation, or other metal forming processes.
Founded in 2018, TLR Hydraulics is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based provider of hydraulic cylinder and pump repair, high-pressure hydraulics repair, and machining services, serving industrial, commercial, and municipal customers throughout Texas and surrounding states.
