We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the physical environment remains safe, functional, and compliant while leading daily maintenance operations and supporting a high-quality patient care environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of facilities management experience; healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, including The Joint Commission, Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), and Fire Marshal requirements.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily maintenance, repair, and preservation of the facility's physical assets.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and healthcare regulations.
Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of patient care, office, and common areas.
Coordinate contractors and vendors while monitoring project completion.
Lead the Environment of Care Committee and maintain Environment of Care and Emergency Management plans.
Conduct fire drills and ensure fire prevention equipment is properly maintained.
Develop, implement, and manage an efficient work order system.
Respond appropriately to facility-related concerns and collaborate with leadership to resolve issues.
Promote exceptional customer service, teamwork, and a culture of safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
