Job Summary

Duties
- Assist with animal restraint, handling, and behavior management to ensure safe and stress-free procedures
- Support veterinary technicians during surgeries, medication administration, IV insertions, and catheterizations
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices
- Record detailed patient information including medical history, treatment notes, and medication logs using veterinary terminology
- Provide pet care including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal welfare throughout their stay
- Help with client communication by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing post-treatment instructions
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety standards for staff and animals
Experience
- Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred
- Veterinary clinic or veterinary technician experience highly desirable
- Exposure to veterinary critical care environments is a plus
- Familiarity with animal husbandry, anatomy, physiology, and behavior concepts
- Experience with record keeping systems related to veterinary practice management
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and medication protocols in a veterinary setting
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal restraint techniques
