Capital Women's Care, a leading healthcare provider specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, is seeking a dedicated and skilled OBGYN Medical Assistant to join our team in Rockville, MD. Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses in providing high-quality patient care in an OBGYN setting.
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and tests.
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Assist with procedures, including pap smears, ultrasounds, and biopsies.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical instruments and equipment.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic medical records.
- Provide patient education on various topics related to women's health.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
- Previous experience working in an OBGYN or women's health setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are an advantage.
