Duties
- Prepare and mix doughs for a variety of baked goods, including bagels , pastries, and more , following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols throughout all stages of production
- Measure ingredients accurately using basic math skills to ensure consistency in product quality
- Package baked items carefully for retail display or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met
- Support high-volume production processes while adhering strictly to food safety management practices and recipe adherence
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or bakery settings is highly desirable, especially with baked goods, pastry preparation, or cake decorating
- Demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with pastry preparation techniques are preferred
- Experience in catering or restaurant environments will be considered an asset
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
- Excellent customer service skills are a plus when interacting with team members or clients during product pickup or catering events
