Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
Mentor. Leader. Technician.
Some of the best technicians eventually reach a point where they realize:
They don’t just enjoy doing the work anymore —
they enjoy teaching it.
Helping the nervous new assistant place their first catheter.
Helping younger techs learn anesthesia safely.
Being the calm person everyone looks to when the day gets chaotic.
That’s who we’re looking for.
We are a privately owned small-animal clinic searching for an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician who wants to help grow the next generation of veterinary support staff while still being deeply involved in patient care.
This is not a corporate “middle management” position.
You’ll still be hands-on:
- Surgery and anesthesia
- Dentistry
- Catheter placement and phlebotomy
- Triage and treatments
- Patient advocacy
- Client communication
But you’ll also help mentor and guide newer technicians and assistants who genuinely want to learn.
What matters most to us:
- Strong technical skills
- Patience while teaching
- Calm leadership during busy moments
- Team-first mentality
- Sense of humor (required some days)
About us:
We’re a locally owned clinic that believes veterinary technicians should be respected, utilized fully, and involved in patient care decisions. We work hard to maintain a supportive environment where people can ask questions, learn, and continue growing without fear of being thrown to the wolves. We strive to keep a good work life balance for all of our team and prioritize mental health in the work place.
We know great technicians are hard to find, and we’d rather wait for the right teammate than hire out of desperation.
Pay:
$26–29/hour depending on experience
Benefits:
401(k) matching, health insurance, CE support, PTO, license reimbursement, uniform allowance, employee discounts, and more.
If you’ve reached the point in your career where helping younger techs succeed is just as rewarding as doing the work yourself, we’d love to meet you.
