Overview
We are seeking a motivated Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver materials efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver materials to various locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment with proper safety practices
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition for each route
- Manage route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups while maintaining accurate delivery documentation on mobile devices
- Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including moving materials and organizing shipments within the warehouse environment
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks involving heavy or bulky items
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or delivery driver experience preferred, especially with box trucks or commercial trucks
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus
- Knowledge of adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements is essential
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries and interactions with clients
- Ability to operate mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation
