Overview
A Boys & Girls Club Youth Development Professional (YDP) plans, implements, and supervises engaging programs for youth, focusing on health & well-being, character & leadership, academic success, and life & workforce readiness. They maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment, fostering mentorship and behavior management for school-aged members while ensuring high-quality program outcomes.
Primary Functions
Manage and maintain the Academic Success space and all educational programs and activities for the Unit. Track and report progress of all programs to supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to plan, implement, and track quality educational programs and activities.
- Knowledge of and the ability to teach language arts and mathematics up to the high school level is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Ability to supervise, instruct, and train other Homework Room personnel.
- Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
Pay: $17.50 per hour
