Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting medical administrative functions. Responsibilities:
- Perform various clinical tasks under the supervision of healthcare professionals, including taking patient vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with examinations
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with minor surgical procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Perform medical administrative support duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing processes
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Basic understanding of medical insurance processes
