As a Website Copywriter at Square 205, you will primarily work alongside our Account Manager for Web to develop compelling website content for a variety of clients across multiple industries.
You'll be responsible for transforming strategy into user-focused website copy that aligns with each client's brand voice while following SEO best practices. This role requires balancing creativity with strategy to create content that informs, engages, and converts website visitors.
In addition to writing website copy, you may help organize content deliverables, participate in website planning and content strategy discussions, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Write compelling, conversion-focused copy for websites, landing pages, service pages, homepages, about pages, and other web content.

Develop website messaging that aligns with each client's brand voice, business goals, and target audience.

Collaborate with designers, developers, SEO specialists, and Account Managers throughout the website development process.

Conduct client research to understand industries, competitors, products, and customer pain points.

Organize and structure website content to improve readability, user experience, and conversions.

Apply SEO best practices by incorporating keyword strategies, internal linking opportunities, metadata recommendations, and content formatting.

Edit, proofread, and revise website copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.

Participate in website content planning, site architecture discussions, and content strategy sessions.

Manage multiple website projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and incorporating client feedback.

When writing for the web, you'll also write Meta descriptions, title tags, and more for both SEO and User Experience purposes. In addition, we ask that you structure your content in Google Docs using our basic page structure format.

This is a part-time contract position with compensation ranging from $25–30 per hour, depending on experience.
