Job Position: Packing
Location: Union, SC 29379
Pay Rate: $15.00/hr
Shift: 2nd
Description: Responsibilities
- Packer will be responsible for inspecting, packing, and folding terry products
- Inspect material for any quality issues before packing
- Troubleshoot (basic) machine / robot problems to determine and/or prevent operating issues and alert maintenance staff when necessary
- Pack all boxes according to BOM
- Make and inspect boxes to ensure that they are non-defective and labeled appropriately using the correct work order
- Record any defects on to the Defect Recording Sheet
- Enter recorded defects into an Excel Spreadsheet and APR system
- Communicate with previous shift on arrival to be knowledgeable of previous issues/ situations
- Communicate with the next shift to report any issues/ situations
- Perform housekeeping duties including (but not limited to) sweeping, mopping, and removing waste
- Ensure all production reports are turned in in a correct, accurate, and efficient manner
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of production/manufacturing operation experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
- Ability to maintain required forms, records and paperwork as necessary
