Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate our POS system Square to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing needs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and during food handling
- Assist in food preparation and serving of baked goods to enhance the guest experience
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Previous barista experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS system Square is highly desirable
- Knowledge of specialty coffee drinks and preparation as well as coffee processes and brewing methods
- Strong skills in sales, customer service, and serving are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of food safety procedures, food handling, and basic math for cash transactions is required
- Experience with food industry standards related to food preparation and retail math will be advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently while multitasking during high-volume periods
- Demonstrated proficiency in cash handling, cashiering, and food service operations
