Physical Therapist (PT) – 2–3 Days/Week | Mileage + Hotel Reimbursement
El Centro Post-Acute is seeking a California-licensed Physical Therapist (PT) interested in working a flexible 2–3 day-per-week block schedule with 10–12 hour shifts available.
******TRAVEL EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT AVAILABLE******
We know El Centro may be a drive for the right PT. That is why we are willing to work with qualified candidates traveling from outside the Imperial Valley.
For qualifying scheduled travel, we offer:
- Mileage reimbursement
- Hotel reimbursement
- Ability to schedule 2–3 consecutive days per week
- 10–12 hour shifts available
- Flexible part-time, per diem, or potentially full-time scheduling
This may be an excellent opportunity for a PT commuting from San Diego County, Riverside County, the Coachella Valley, Yuma, or other surrounding communities who would prefer to consolidate their workweek rather than commute five days per week.
Pay Range: $60 – $80 per hour
Travel reimbursement is provided separately from hourly compensation and is subject to facility reimbursement guidelines and pre-approval.
About El Centro Post-Acute
We are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility serving residents of the Imperial Valley. Our therapy team works closely with nursing, physicians, rehabilitation staff, residents, and families to help residents achieve their highest practicable level of mobility, independence, and function. We are looking for a PT who enjoys working with the geriatric/post-acute population and wants the flexibility of a condensed weekly schedule.
What You Will Do
As the Physical Therapist, you will provide and direct skilled physical therapy services in accordance with California Physical Therapy Board requirements, facility policies, and applicable payer requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current California Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing, or ability to obtain California licensure prior to providing patient care
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Ability to perform Physical Therapist-level evaluations, clinical decision-making, treatment planning, re-evaluations, and discharge planning
Preferred, but not required:
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute rehabilitation experience
- Geriatric rehabilitation experience
- Experience working with Medicare residents
- Experience supervising or directing Physical Therapist Assistants
- Knowledge of MDS, care planning, discharge planning, and long-term-care rehabilitation
New graduates with a California PT license are encouraged to apply.
A Schedule Designed for Commuting PTs
You do not necessarily need to relocate to El Centro to join our team.
We are specifically interested in talking with Physical Therapists who may prefer a schedule such as:
2 days per week × 10–12 hours
or
3 days per week × 10–12 hours
We will work with the right candidate to develop a block schedule that supports both our residents and your commute.
Mileage and hotel reimbursement are available for qualifying travel arrangements.
