Our client is currently seeking or in need of a dependable Warehouse Lead in Ventura, California, to support warehouse operations and assist with event-related equipment handling. This position is ideal for someone with strong warehouse experience, forklift skills, and the ability to guide small crews in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Lead will help pull, stage, load, return, and organize event equipment while also supporting setup needs at various venues. Candidates must be reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working both inside the warehouse and on-site during event operations.
The Day-to-Day:
- Assist with warehouse operations, including pulling, staging, and returning event equipment
- Load and unload trucks while handling materials safely and efficiently
- Work with pallets, warehouse inventory, and event-related equipment
- Support event setup at various venues as needed
- Handle assigned operational tasks during event days
- Manage load-out procedures after events
- Return equipment to the warehouse and ensure items are properly organized
- Operate standard warehouse forklifts and telehandler forklifts safely
- Lead, direct, and motivate small crews of temporary staff
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and event staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proven warehouse experience required
- Prior experience loading and unloading trucks
- Experience working with pallets and warehouse equipment
- Current certification and hands-on experience operating a standard warehouse forklift
- Current certification and hands-on experience operating a telehandler forklift
- Ability to lead and support small crews of temporary employees
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work in a physically active role
- Must be available to work weekends when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior event production or party rental industry experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Pay Rate:
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
