Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Mental Health Professional with licensure as an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment planning.
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Deliver specialized services including trauma-informed care for PTSD, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and behavioral management.
- Facilitate intake sessions to establish treatment goals while ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating research-backed techniques like motivational interviewing and social work principles to foster client progress.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols, de-escalation techniques, and timely referrals for inpatient or outpatient care when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation according to clinical ethical guidelines while utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as an LPCC, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT with current state certification to practice independently in mental health counseling.
- MUST BE A COLORADO MEDICAID APPROVED PROVIDER (CCHA and Colorado Access)
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics across outpatient settings.
- Proficiency in clinical counseling modalities such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology knowledge (if applicable), and trauma-informed care.
- Strong understanding of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services via telehealth experience is preferred.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and case management skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and medical records management standards.
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders is highly desirable.
