Luxury Retail Security Concierge
Alberto Luzzi is a luxury jewelry brand and retail gallery in SoHo, specializing in handcrafted Italian jewelry.
We are hiring a polished, reliable, NYS-licensed security professional to support the safety, hospitality, and client experience of our retail showroom.
This is not a traditional guard post. The right person will help protect the store, welcome guests, maintain a calm luxury environment, and represent the brand with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide visible, professional security presence during store hours
- Greet clients warmly and help create a refined luxury retail experience
- Monitor store entrance, showroom floor, and high-value jewelry displays
- Help prevent theft, loss, suspicious behavior, and unauthorized access
- Maintain awareness of client flow, staff activity, and store surroundings
- Support opening and closing procedures when scheduled
- Communicate clearly with store leadership, sales staff, and outside security contacts
- De-escalate situations calmly and professionally
- Assist with events, private appointments, and high-traffic retail periods
- Protect the brand image through polished appearance, discretion, and excellent judgment
Requirements
- Active New York State Security Guard License required
- Prior security experience required
- Luxury retail, jewelry, hospitality, hotel, nightlife, or concierge experience preferred
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Calm, observant, reliable, and punctual
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Able to work in a client-facing luxury environment
- Strong judgment, discretion, and situational awareness
- Must be able to pass background screening if requested
Ideal Candidate
You are professional, composed, and alert. You know how to make clients feel welcome while keeping the environment secure. You are not aggressive or overly casual — you understand that luxury security is about presence, judgment, and restraint.
Experience in jewelry, luxury retail, hotels, private events, hospitality, or high-end venues is a strong plus.
Schedule
Part-time and full-time shifts available. Weekend availability preferred.
We are hiring for multiple shifts and may hire more than one candidate.
Compensation
$19–$22 per hour, based on experience.
