Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, adhering strictly to established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal aligns with customer expectations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate food production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following proper sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines
- Assist in food handling tasks such as packaging, portioning, and labeling products for sale or delivery
- Support high-volume production needs while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, baking, pastry creation, and cake decorating
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations
- Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, knives, and other culinary tools
- Excellent knife skills coupled with precise pastry preparation techniques
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in baked goods production
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes effectively
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude towards team collaboration and client satisfaction
- Experience in catering or high-volume food production environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to food handling, packaging, and storage
