Integrative Psychological Services is a boutique private-pay psychotherapy practice located in Brookline, MA. We provide thoughtful, individualized mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults in a warm, collaborative environment. Our clinicians are experienced and educated
We are looking to add a Licensed Psychologist to our practice with a strong background in psychological assessment and an interest in providing psychotherapy as part of their clinical work. This is an opportunity for someone who values depth over volume and wants the freedom to practice thoughtfully without the pace and constraints of a large group or hospital setting.
Our practice is intentionally small, and we place a high value on clinical quality, strong therapeutic relationships, and individualized care. We are looking for someone who shares that approach.
About the Role
The psychologist in this role will provide comprehensive psychological assessments and psychotherapy to a varied caseload. Assessment work may include diagnostic clarification, cognitive and psychological testing, and evaluations related to attention, learning, mood, anxiety, trauma, and other presenting concerns.
Depending on clinical interests and experience, the role may also include ongoing psychotherapy with children, adolescents, or adults.
You will have the autonomy to approach your work in a way that aligns with your clinical expertise while having the support of a small, collaborative practice. We are not looking for someone to simply fill a caseload as quickly as possible. We are looking for a clinician who is thoughtful about their work and genuinely invested in providing excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluations, including clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized psychological testing.
- Integrate assessment findings into clear, timely, and clinically meaningful reports and feedback sessions.
- Provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults based on your areas of expertise and interest.
- Develop individualized treatment recommendations based on each client's needs, strengths, and goals.
- Maintain timely, thorough, and confidential clinical documentation.
- Communicate assessment results and treatment recommendations clearly and thoughtfully with clients and, when appropriate, parents, schools, physicians, or other providers.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in a client's care when clinically appropriate.
- Participate in consultation and case discussion within the practice.
- Maintain current licensure and professional development consistent with your area of practice.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a licensed psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) who has substantial experience with psychological assessment and enjoys working directly with clients.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An active Massachusetts psychologist license in good standing.
- Strong training and experience in psychological testing and diagnostic assessment.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or a combination of these populations.
- Strong clinical writing and communication skills.
- A thoughtful, warm, and collaborative approach to client care.
- Comfort working independently while also valuing consultation and collaboration.
- Familiarity with evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy.
- A genuine interest in providing individualized, high-quality care rather than high-volume clinical services.
- Flexibility to meet client's schedules and clinical needs.
Additional experience in areas such as ADHD, autism, learning differences, anxiety, OCD, trauma, mood disorders, or other neurodevelopmental and psychological concerns is welcome.
Why Join a Small Private Practice?
We believe clinicians do their best work when they have the time and support to actually practice thoughtfully.
At Integrative Psychological Services, you won't be managing an overwhelming caseload or working within a one-size-fits-all treatment model. We intentionally keep our practice small so that clients receive highly individualized care and clinicians have the space to do thoughtful, meaningful work.
This role may be a particularly good fit for someone who is looking for a transition from a larger institution, hospital, school, or group practice into a more independent private-practice setting.
If you are a psychologist who takes pride in your clinical work, values strong therapeutic relationships, and is looking for a practice where quality matters more than volume, we'd love to hear from you.
A Note About Caseload & Clinical Flexibility
Because we are a small private practice, we value clinicians who are flexible and open-minded about their caseload. While we will always work to build a caseload that is a good fit for your clinical interests and areas of expertise, while recognizing that private practice naturally involves working with a range of presenting concerns and client needs.
There will be times when a client presents with concerns or characteristics that may not be your first choice clinically, but still fall within your training and scope of practice. We are looking for someone who is comfortable approaching those clients with curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to engage.
