Lead a Compassionate Memory Care Program
A respected senior living community is seeking a dedicated Memory Care Director to oversee its specialized memory care neighborhood serving older adults living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive conditions.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about enriching the lives of seniors while fostering a supportive environment for residents, families, and caregivers. You'll guide a multidisciplinary team, oversee daily operations, and help ensure residents receive personalized, engaging, and compassionate care.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of a specialized memory care program.
- Partner with nursing, rehabilitation, activities, dining, and social services teams to create a holistic resident experience.
- Develop and monitor individualized service plans that support each resident's unique cognitive, emotional, and physical needs.
- Coach, mentor, and educate staff on dementia care best practices, communication techniques, and person-centered care.
- Build strong relationships with residents' families by providing education, ongoing communication, and compassionate support.
- Monitor program quality, resident satisfaction, and operational outcomes while implementing continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, licensing standards, and organizational policies.
- Promote engaging programming designed to encourage independence, social interaction, and meaningful daily experiences.
- Foster a culture of dignity, respect, safety, and excellence throughout the memory care community.
Qualifications
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or comparable healthcare leadership background.
- Leadership experience within assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or another senior care setting.
- Experience leading memory care or dementia-focused programming.
- Certification in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or related specialty preferred, but not required.
