DESCRIPTION
Working under the direction of our Clinical Director of Rehabilitation Services, this position will oversee, establish and deliver programs and services to assess, diagnose, treat and help to prevent communication disorders in children with ASD , including pragmatic language and social skills.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Behavior Analysts and SpeechTherapists for wholistic treatment programs.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment goals and objectives.
- Integrate evidence-based practices for ASD into all clinical practices.
- Use practice management system to generate clinical SOAP notes and maintain therapeutic records.
- Provide parent training and involvement for consistency and reinforcement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working with or caring for children, in some capacity.
- Knowledge of practices, methodologies, interventions, and treatments that benefit children.
- Excellent collaboration, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Assess clients for adaptations and use of special equipment when necessary
- Identify and implement therapeutic interventions that help develop client’s fine motor skills, cognition, language skills, self care skills, regulation, and more
- Provide support and guidance to the clients’ family enabling them to foster the behaviors and practices implemented in treatment
