Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing outstanding service and assistance throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting store environment
- Assist with stocking, inventory management, and ensuring products are available for customers
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
- Support team members with supervising experience by helping train new staff or guiding less experienced associates
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus)
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and retail math to manage inventory levels accurately
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales transactions is highly desirable
- Ability to perform cashiering duties confidently while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and professionalism
