Job Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY:
To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by:
Providing superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by providing exceptional
administrative support to be the assigned department and appropriately coordinating projects necessary
to support the department.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Quality/No Harm:
Provide quality EKG’s in a timely manner.
Stats will be done within 20 minutes of notification.
Able to obtain and provide quality signal average EKG’s with copy to physician for interpretation
on shift requested.
Keep work area and shift work related to cleaning, stocking and equipment checks up to date:
ECG, SAE, halter monitors, and treadmill equipment.
Customer Experience:
Provide patient with privacy during time of testing.
Consistent with hand washing technique.
Explanation of procedure being given to patient.
Stewardship:
Daily log being input for patient charges.
Report any malfunction of equipment to supervisor or manager.
Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Computer knowledge (basic).
Certified Nurse Aide or Monitor Technician would be considered for in-house training.
Prefer solid science background with emphasis on human anatomy and physiology.
Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and
maintain.
Previous experience preferred.
Excellent, positive people skills.
Self-directed capability.
Preferred Cardiology Technician certification during or at one year of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to transport patients via wheelchair over carpet/tile areas unassisted with weights
up to 200lbs, 10 or more times daily.
Able to push, pull and maneuver unit specific equipment unit specific equipment weighing up to
50 lbs. anywhere, up to 10 times daily.
Must be able to view computer for up to one hour at a time.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work in often stressful environment.
Ability to work in self-directed environment with focus on team process.
Ability to respond appropriately to geriatric and pediatric patient behavior.
Ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations
