Scope of role
The ERP System Administrator is responsible for training users, developing policies and procedures, and assisting in the implementation process. They work with business owners and managers, end-users, and technicians to help implement the ERP system, including creating reports and analyzing data.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develops production schedules for finished goods and component items based on equipment, labor, and raw materials availability
· Integrates automated equipment real time data management with ERP system (MES)
· Provides daily production schedules to manufacturing for finished goods and build-to-stock subassemblies
· Coordinates production scheduling of lower-level items and machined parts
· Drives component material demand for purchasing and monitors availability/lead times, current production schedules, and capacities
· Resolves conflicts to support target ship dates
· Balances production and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with customer service levels, inventory turn goals, and capacity utilization/staffing requirements
· Interacts frequently with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain Departments to achieve objectives
· Develops and implements planning KPIs to report performance
· Identifies and resolves problems with material, manpower, and capacity availability
· Advises management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that manpower, equipment, and material are ready to meet production requirements
· Visualizes key production processes to assure the efficient flow of material
· Confers with supervisors, the Engineering Department, and the Purchasing Team on shop orders to assess progress and discuss needed changes
· Develops and maintains capacity planning tools for effective shop performance
· Implements and manages the internal kitting process
· Establishes and follows protocols for inventory controls, ordering process, cycle counts, and develops a visual inventory management system
· Executes the Operations Department’s plan and schedule for the factory and manufacturing
· Ensures customers’ required dates are met by ensuring operational and material availability
· Works with Production Control to ensure the operation schedule is met daily and materials are available
· Communicates capacity availability and ensures work orders are loaded accordingly
· Learns and understands the ERP environment to be able to provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices
· Provides end user training and assists with day-to-day issues, problems, and questions
· Collaborates with end users, Production Control, and management for system and upgrades
· Works collaboratively with employees to troubleshoot and resolve issues
· Proposes tangible solutions to avoid repeatable errors
· Provides guidance for system changes and enhancements
· Identifies continuous improvement opportunities for assigned systems and processes
· Creates and deletes user accounts, updates account permissions, user profiles, page layouts, and security information
· Creates and maintains ERP business documents, dashboards, and KPI dashboards
· Assists in data migration efforts during initial implementation and ongoing activities post go-live
· Completes special projects and provides project support as requested by Executive Team
· Compiles inventory reports
· Creates and maintains ERP business documents
· Remains dedicated to meeting the expectations and needs of internal and external customers

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
· Minimum 2 experience in manufacturing
Must be familiar with Netsuite
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, similar preferred
· Experience in ERP
· Experience in MES and manufacturing automation integration
· Needs to have a working knowledge of planning strategies, manufacturing models, and how planning affects the supply chain and operations.
· Needs to have the ability to work with Supply Chain, Operations, Program Management to ensure the factory is properly planned
