This is a seasonal position running from now until September 14. Employees must be able to commit to the full duration of the season and be available to work holiday weekends, including Labor Day.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Cafe Team Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, nourishing food, and strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Cafe Team Member, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, food items, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and ensuring that our customers have a positive and memorable experience at Agnello's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food menu items according to Agnello's recipes, standards, and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and answering any questions about the menu.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and other related appliances.
- Ensure proper food storage and rotation to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace, ensuring that the café kitchen remains tidy and inviting for customers.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic work environment.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, notifying management of low stock levels, and participating in periodic inventory counts.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Café Manager or other supervisors.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working in a Kitchen atmosphere is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
