We are looking for the right person to take over all oversight kitchen responsibilities of our ghost kitchen restaurant. Adam's Get Down Gumbo was in business for 6 years specifically as a Farmers Market vendor and a catering company. We have moved our operations from a shared kitchen space, to a Ghost Kitchen space in Lawndale, and expanded from focusing solely on Louisiana Cajun/Creole cuisine to include a BBQ and Smokehouse menu. In addition to catering and farmers market sales, we produce hot food for all of the major food delivery apps. The Owners have been the chefs and are looking for someone to take the mantle and take Adam's Get Down Gumbo & Smokehouse to the next level. This being a ghost kitchen restaurant, the person we are hiring will be managing a small space, with no FOH staff to worry about. The menu will be small and concise, but strong and flavorful. Owners will train and will be involved on a daily basis but would like to relinquish control of the kitchen and know that the food production is in good hands. This is a small business, not a big company, but business is growing. Pay raises, benefits, and increased responsibility will be available to the right person as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Work with Owners to develop systems and processes
- Create dishes that enhance the current menu and offerings
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency
- Prepare food for delivery apps, catering events, and farmers market sales
- Build relationships with vendors
- Control food costs through effective ordering, quality control, and portion control
- Supervise small kitchen staff (4 max)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management and food service management
- Honest, reliable, with strong leadership skills
- A genuine passion for quality food
- Familiarity with BBQ and Southern cuisine is a must
- Strong staff training and team management skills
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food preparation and inventory control
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience in various kitchen settings

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
