Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate standardized testing preparation and early intervention strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining high standards of childcare and childhood development best practices.
- Incorporate special education techniques to support children with diverse learning needs and ensure inclusive classroom experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Human environmental science degree with a minimum of 18 course credit hours of early childhood education.
- Special Education Degree with a minimum of 18 course credit hours of early childhood education.
- Proven classroom management skills with experience in preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including literacy education, behavior management, and toddler care.
- Experience working with children in private school or Montessori environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members.
- Background in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
